Lifeline Ukraine

A question that interests every one of our donors, which is entirely natural and normal. Lifeline Ukraine primarily directs funds towards the operation of the 7333 hotline, but that's far from all expenses. Most of them remain in the background, but we'll talk about that a bit later.

Hotline

So, what is meant by the term 'hotline operation'? To ensure round-the-clock operation seven days a week, both on working, weekends, and holidays, we need to hire the necessary number of people.

Who ensures the operation of the hotline and the organization as a whole?

One person can't endure either 12 hours of work or 24, and that's obvious. Therefore, our specialists work in shifts. One shift means the work of two consultants simultaneously. Thus, we have 22 consultants on our staff. At the same time, we need to increase the number of consultants, as the number of calls is growing every month. Besides, our office staff remains in the background: the CEO, the main project manager, the marketing manager, the SMM manager, and the fundraising manager.

They ensure the overall functioning of our organization, continuous presence in social media, constant quality control, and reporting. We've covered the issue of staff expenses in general, but we haven't touched on other expenses that are also constant for us every month: office rent and targeted advertising. Like any organization, these costs are substantial.

Assistance of international organizations and businesses

Unfortunately, donations or contributions made to our accounts cannot cover all the organization's expenses; they don't even fully cover any of the mentioned items. Therefore, in parallel, we seek help from international organizations and businesses. The first of these have an expiration date, typically a few months, which complicates planning since increasing staff is viewed as an unjustified risk, although it is a necessity at the moment. That's why we emphasize increasing the role of donations; only through them can we more calmly plan to expand the number of Lifeline Ukraine consultants without losing the quality of the services we provide.
